Our teaching approach
At ESIC, support is individual and follow-up is regular. Here is how we organize teaching, assessment and the connection between school and company.
Individual support
Every student is supported by a training advisor and a faculty mentor. One-on-one meetings are scheduled at the end of each teaching unit and at the end of the year, to review progress and address any difficulties as early as possible.
This follow-up relies on two tools: Ypareo, for administrative and academic management (schedules, absences, grades), and the Castor platform, for course materials and exchanges with the teaching team.
Instructors who work in their field
Classes are taught by instructors chosen for their professional experience (generally at least five years in a company) as much as for their teaching skills. Some of them hold certifications in their field. The goal is for what is taught to match what is actually practiced on the ground.
Continuous assessment and exams
Assessment combines continuous evaluation, throughout the year, with exams scheduled ahead of each semester. The schedule is known in advance, which lets you plan ahead and avoid unpleasant surprises.
Coordination between the school and the company
The instructors, the student and their company tutor communicate regularly. This connection makes it possible to align the training with the tasks assigned at the company, and to keep a shared direction between classroom learning and professional practice.
Guided use of artificial intelligence
Generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT) are used in class, but under the supervision of the instructors. Learning objectives are set in advance, students learn to write relevant prompts and to check the information they get back. AI is a support tool, not a substitute for personal work or for reasoning.
In short. The thread running through our teaching is a mentor who follows each student and a constant link between the school and the company, from day one to graduation.
